There is no 'quick fix' to training your dog how to walk on a loose lead. But, there are lots of techniques that you can learn and practice over time to help reduce the amount your dog pulls whilst on the lead.
Come along to one of our 2 hour workshops where we work with you and your dog in mastering some of these techniques so that you can start your training journey.
We use force free reward based training techniques to get the best our of you and your dog.

We all want that moment where we can let our dogs off lead and have confidence that they will return back to us when called. Sadly, the world is full of distractions for your dog and a secure recall is not something that is easily achieved. But it can be worked on over time.
Come along to one of our 2 hour workshops where we work with you and your dog in learning more about recall techniques and to give you the tools to keep practicing these at home.

6 Week Next Step - Training Course
Starting Saturday 20th July - 9.45am
£80 for the 6 week course.
Suitable for dogs who have had some form of basic training but looking to improve their skills!
Build on some solid training foundations to help you improve your dog handling / training skills -

Building a solid recall.

Developing your loose lead walking skills.

Developing a solid 'leave it' and retrieve.

Sit, down, stay and much, much more!
We offer the opportunity to work towards an IMDT partnership level 1, where you can receive a certificate and rosette!
All sessions include:

Useful hints and tips on general dog ownership.

A follow up email sent after every class, reminding you of the main exercises covered and to help you continue your training at home.
This is a group class and not suitable for reactive dogs.

1-2-1 Training
Some dogs are just not suited to group training classes. For whatever reason they become too distracted or are just uncomfortable around other dogs.
Fen Acre Dogs is able to offer 121 training sessions for dog owners at our very own training paddock.
Through consultation with you, we can work on a range of different skills and levels.
121 session prices start from £25 per hour.

FUN 121 AGILITY
BOOK NOW
During the Spring, Summer and early Autumn, Fen Acre offers Fun Agility sessions. These tend to be on a 121 basis and allows you and your dog to learn the basics of agility.
Sessions last for 1 hour and prices start from £25.
We are now taking bookings for 121 Fun Agility sessions at the Fen Acre training paddock.
